The Green Isles are a volcanic island chain.
The isles are made up of volcanic rocks and granite. Of note are mysterious volcanic rocks littering the Isle of the Beast, Isle of the Mists[1] and Isle of the Crown[2]
The Isle of the Sacred Mountain is made of high granite cliffs, the Sacred Mountain itself appears to be volcanic with chamber of the Minotaur opening up to lava below. The entrance to the Oracle Cave itself resembles a volcanic crater or vent.
It is unclear if the rocks originate from eruptions from the Sacred Mountsin or not, but they have been on the islands for ages untold.
