The Troll Cave is a dark maze-like cave behind a waterfall in Tamir. The twisting passages of the cave lead to the Swamp of Tamir and area of dangerous death bogs. The cave gets its name for the evil troll that lives there.

The first edition of The Official Book of King's Quest refers to this area as the Trolls' Maze. The third edition refers to it as the The Caves. The King's Quest Companion places it inside of the Beyond the Waterfall region, refers to it as the Cave Maze.
