Background[]
It is technology for harvesting wheat and other grains in the world of Daventry. They move quickly and can harvest great quantities with their sharp blades.
It is not clear how these fits into the normally regular fears of technology which most people in Daventry share. But Derek does use thrashers in an analogy related to the reasons why people left Other World (Earth) to create a new world for themselves (Daventry) across the multiverse.
As he states;
- But the weight of disbelief was upon them, and like ripe grain at harvest time, they could see the thrashers coming.
