The Southern Hallways are a location in the first level of the Temple of the Sun.
Background[]
These hallways hold a 'sacred sun altar' where many Archons can be found trapped in marble.
The hallways are also guarded by two bloodthirsty Henchmen. Secret panels on the walls behind icons of the Sun, hold potions. Panels on the floors unleashed Shadow Demons. One of the hallways leads into a Sanctuary, a room with the marble statues (former Archons), and a sacred sun altar. The temple archons were frozen before the altar with the stone tablet (Tablet of Knowledge in its Tabula Rasa (void of precepts) state). Their thoughts swirled in a cacophony around the room.[1]
Another room in the hallways holds the Sword of Truth.
Behind the scenes[]
The room in the Southern Halls where the Tablet of Truth apparently has no official name. It is referred to as a 'sanctuary' in some of the game files. Some refer to it as the 'Sun Altar Room' based on the descriptions Connor gives for the altar in the room.
