Sierra World is the name for the universe in which all Sierra games (including King's Quest series) take place according to Leisure Suit Larry I (AGI).
Background[]
In the Sierra World, characters maybe electro-mechanical digital animatronic characters that are 'rebuilt' every time they die in their own worlds, and then put back to live out their lives. Sometimes characters crossed over from the Sierra World across the multiverse to other parts of Sierra World, or even into the Earth reality (to take part in the development of their own games) as did Larry Laffer and Rosella.
Bookwyrm reported from Sierra On-Line interviewing some of Sierra's more illustrious citizens.

Behind the scenes[]
This maybe a reference to Michael Crichton's Westworld movie.
Sierra World is mentioned twice in the game under the good and bad endings.
