The Sanctuary is the room on the first level (the Level of Truth) of the Temple of the Sun.
Background[]
It was the room where Connor have found a sacred sun altar, and Tablet of Knowledge and the Archons (imprisoned in marble).
It seems the Archons have been performing their devotions there (with the Tablet inscribed with perceptions of Truth Light and Order in the center of the ceremony) at the moment the Mask of Eternity has been attacked.
Behind the scenes[]
This room technically has no official name. It is described as the 'sanctuary' in some of the files. It is just listed as the "Tablet of Knowledge" on map in the strategy guide, and is part of the Southern Hallways. Connor only describes the 'sacred sun altar' when examning the altar in the room.[1]
