The Queen was the wife of Edward (KQGS). She is not seen but is inspired by the Queen Maylie from the original series.

Background[]

She apparently loved gardens, and Royal Knight 2's first job was trim her troffolo hedges.

The queen loved music, after he death he had bells strung about his statue to remind everyone about her love of music. The kingdom went into decline not long after, and went downhill ever since, The magic mirror was stolen some point after her death while the king still grieved for her.

Daventry would not have a new queen for some decades later when Graham brought Valanice (KQGS) to Daventry from the south.

Personality and traits[]

Very little is known about her except that she apparently had a thing for gardens. The hedges outside Daventry town were hers, and she also loved music. At least Number 2 had much respect for her.

Amaya seems ambivalent to the former queen, and seems to blame the downfall of the kingdom on her death. She doesn't seem to have a lot of respect for the king himself.

Behind the scenes[]

The new King's Quest tells the story Graham's introduction into Daventry's knights. The Queen should be gone at least 13-15 years by this point (having died about the same year Graham was born). She is briefly referenced by Amaya Blackstone who mentions that the kingdom has been in decline since she died, that the bridges across the rivers have all been knocked out. One of the knights remembers he used to trim the Queen's troffolo hedges. The queen loved music, after he death he had bells strung about his statue to remind everyone about her. The magic mirror was stolen some point after her death (in the original series timeline she died after the Mirror was stolen, at the time that the shield was stolen). The Queen's name is not mentioned in the new series, and she is known simply as the Queen.
