Paracelsus was a physician in the early fifteenth century. He had given Gnomes their name and differentiated them from dwarfs.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Paracelsus was actually a physician during the late 15f fifteenth to early 16th century.

Paracelsus expressed the classic toxicology maxim "All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; the dosage alone makes it so a thing is not a poison." This is often condensed to: "The dose makes the poison" or in Latin, "Sola dosis facit venenum".

Venenum is the Latin term for 'poison' which English word Venom is derived.
