Old Sam is the butcher of Daventry town.
Background[]
His shop is located just a bit east and south of town. He had some of the finest of bacon, veal, lamb, and Daventry ham. It is said that no one had better hams than Old Sam. He was a little hard of hearing.[1]
Old Sam was thin as a stick, and the shock of white hair on his head was too thin to hide his pink scalp. His stained overtunic was the plainest homespun and his feet were bare.[2][3]
