This is a spell to create a rainstorm, found in Ye Olde Spell Booke in King's Quest VI.

Ingredients

The ingredients for the spell are as follows.

Directions

First mix Salt and Sacred Waters in a Teapot, then add Falling Water. Speak incantation over Teapot to enchant. Heat to boiling to activate.

Incantation

Clouds of thunder,

shafts of light.

Come and sup with

me tonight.

Waters three have

I for tea.

Brew a tempest

now for me!

Behind the scenes

The spell's definition of "Teapot" is somewhat loose, as Alexander uses an old hunter's lamp as a substitute, which is one of the rare times that 'substitutions' doesn't end up with failed spell or with dire circumstances (see The Quest for King's Quest VI). The other time is Alexander substituting a rotten egg for brimstone/sulfur. However, the latter is not really a substitution as 'sulfur' is actually found in eggs (though there is certainly more than sulfur in eggs).

The Make Rain spell is the last of three storm-related spells appearing in the games and the second of two cast by Alexander. The other two spells are Rainmaker used by King Graham in KQ5 and Brewing a Storm used by Alexander in KQ3.
