King’s Quest V for the CDTV was another cancelled port of the game or one that really never had a chance to get off the ground in first place.
Sierra was future minded and was looking g at then upcoming and recently released consoles as possible systems to port Sierra’s multimedia games to.
The CDTV turned out to be a flop which is probably the ai for biggest reason that no serious attempt was made to port King’d Quest V to the console.
Sierra started to be a bit skeptical of the system before that as they noticed it wasn’t much different than amiga computer but with an added cd-rom but without a keyboard. Few companies took advantage of the CDTV technology or storage and just released games that were similar to the amiga. This lead to Sierra recommending the Amiga over the CDTV instead if one was going to buy one of the two.
