Imbrium fever is a disease that spread through Daventry one summer.
Background[]
Some people contract only mild cases. The danger lies in the mildness of it--if it is too mild, then they may catch it again. No one survives a second attack of Imbrium fever.[1]
Powder is sprinkled in ellenberry cider in order to help the victim sleep.
Behind the scenes[]
The term imbrium is latin for 'showers' or 'rain'. Thus the name of the disease would suggest it is caught during the rainy seasons.
