Background[]

Graham’s native land[]

In this universe Daventry is Graham’s native land, as was his father and his grandfather.[1]

He is also a native in the Companion.

In some sources such as novels and possibly the The Official Book of King's Quest he is not a native of Daventry.

Graham’s father (Rosella’s Grandfather)[]

In this universe his father a knight of daventry, was apparently still alive at the time Graham became king. And he is still alive at the time of KQ4, though apparebtly retired from knighthood.[2] On the other hand some of Grahams lines might suggest he isn’t alive as he speaks of his father in past tense, or at least his father is retired from knighthood…

In the Companion his father Hereward was the king’s best friend, and died during the Border Wars near end of Edward’s reign. But is fondly remembered by his son and family.

There is no easy way to reconcile this disparity other than possibly that Hereward may have know of king’s plan be make Graham his heir, but died before events of KQ1 the last quest to prove his worthiness.

Rosella & Edgar[]

In this universe it doesn’t appear that Rosella completely rejected Edgar. She appears to consider him her boyfriend and romantic interest. She is quick to defend him from Larry Laffer, and point out their relationship is wholesome.[3]

The Gnome[]

In this universe Rumplestiltskin remained in Daventry after KQ4, and Graham knows him well.[4]

In the Companion he apparently only met him once and doesn’t fully recognize him in KQ5. KQ5 implies he left Daventry some point after KQ3.

Rosella’s Education[]

In this universe the royal family is not educated in mathematics .[5][6] She mentions she is only educated in history. She mentions her father reads to and her brother. Rosella admit to being scientifically and mathematically deficient, and need to learn more.

In the Companion it’s possible that math falls under sciences, and would be frowned upon as dark magic. It is also mentions being taught many subjects.

In the novel series Rosella has studied math, and other sciences, as well as many different subjects besides history.

Graham’s Education[]

In Hoyle I Graham admits to being scientifically and mathematically deficient, and needs to learn more. Graham mentions largely only being educated in knighthood, history and how to rule the kingdom, and perhaps somewhat conceitedly, claims to be an excellent ruler because of it

Graham mentions having been studying in Knight School before going on his first quests Other sources imply that the Quest for the crown was his first adventure. In Companion however it may suggest he had been on earlier adventures.

In the novels he had been in many adventures exploring the world even before he came to Daventry. Finding the treasures was his first adventure in Daventry.

Alexander[]

In this universe since return of Alexander, it appears his son spent most of his time in Daventry, learning stories from his father.[7]

In the novels Alexander left Daventry for almost a year, after his return from Llewdor, and never spent much time with his family before KQ5/6.

In the Companion Alexander spent time teaching in Daventry, but did take a few trips between KQ4 and KQ6.

Quests of Rosella[]

In this universe Rosella has apparently been on many quests.[8][9][10]

Between novels and games she has been on several. One story suggests she went on an adventure as a child (Rosella's First Quest).

However in some materials she may have only been on two quests.

Behind the scenes[]

In Hoyle 1 it says Rosella plans to never leave Daventry and love their forever.[11]

In Reboot it suggests she did stay in Daventry after marrying Edgar.

In some fan games she moved to Etheria and left Daventry behind much like her brother.

Roger Wilco crashed in the moat in this universe as seen in Space Quest AGI.
