Sir Greywolf is a guardian of Queen Icebella and her realm.


He is a changeling and a werewolf and the consort of Queen Icebella.[1] He is the leader of the dire wolves and grey wolves that guard Icebella's realms. He is a large grey wolf, who takes his business seriously. He carries out the wishes of his queen, no matter the decree. He has a stern demeanor.

The grey wolf lead Graham from the Ice Palace to the crystal Yeti Cave. After Graham defeated the yeti, he brought the king back to the palace. He later took Graham back to the path leading further onto into the mountains, and guarded the path so that Graham could not return back to the palace.

Behind the scenesEdit

Greywolf, the idea that he is a werewolf, and the other wolfs under Icebella are are a reference to the wolves and werewolves that were under the command of the White Witch in the Chronicles of Narnia books lead by Maugrim/Fenris Ulf. In early development of KQ5, Icebella was even known as the 'Ice Witch' a more direct reference to her Narnian counterpart.

In the game Graham refers to the character as Sir Wolf, and Icebella calls him Sir Greywolf.

Greywolf is referred to as a changeling, but this could be in reference to him being a shapeshifter, rather than having been swapped as a baby, see The Baby Swap. But then again calling him a werewolf and a shapeshifter/changeling would be redundant. So it might actually be referring to traditional definition of changeling.

A changeling is a human-like creature found in folklore and folk religion throughout Europe. A changeling was believed to be a fairy child that had been left in place of a human child stolen by the fairies. The theme of the swapped child is common in medieval literature and reflects concern over infants thought to be afflicted with unexplained diseases, disorders, or developmental disabilities.
