Fleas are a type of blood sucking insect.[1] That likes mammals such as dogs, cats, and bears.

A flea on the dragon is a very little thing indeed. Something worth ignoring. The Enchanted Sorcerer's Flea and Tick Collars are intended to keep fleas and ticks off of cats, especially sorcerers that have been turned into cats via Cat Cookies. Bears are often 'flea-bitten', and that makes the bearskin rugs slightly damaged, but still serviceable. Alexander found fleas jumping furiously from cot to cot on the Pirate Ship, 'flea-bitten' is often used as an insult against others.
