David is the name of a customer who once visited the Purple Pig in Daventry town.

Davie once carved David sat here, on the Purple Pig's counter in the Town of Daventry.[1] Rosella examined the scratchings on the counter noticing David’s name, when she visited the tavern to hire Hrothgar to prepare food for the Feast of the Harvest Moon for the Harvest Festival one year.
This may or may not be the famous Knight of Daventry known as Sir David of Bruce. One of King Graham’s friends.
