Cumberland is a land, presumably near Daventry.
Background[]
Dahlia claimed she was the princess of this land.
This may be one of the western and southern kingdoms (assuming the land exists) in which the people of Daventry later fled during the destruction of the Three-headed Dragon.
These are the many kingdoms the continent is divided into, most of them small and only a day or three's journey by foot in extent. These fiefdoms sometimes war or battle with each other for reasons their rulers care about, and shrink or grow depending on their martial fortunes. They seemingly come and go with the seasons, and few are remembered after their passing.

Behind the scenes[]
Cumberland takes its name from an ancient region of England, near the Scottish border. Cumber as in the name Cumbria refers ethnic name of the Celts. Literally it means Celt-land.
Cumberland may not actually exist, and could have been made up. On the other hand geography is an important subject to the royaly of Daventry, and Edward likely would have seen through that deception, regardless of any enchantment she might have put on him. He is not surprised upon hearing about the land.
