The Cauldron Room is a location in the Temple of the Sun.[1]

Background[]

Lucreto had cursed the Sacred Well, and it became a seething vile cauldron filled with waters of the River of Death so that it would spawn more of his Henchmen. It came to be known as the Cauldron Room. Connor broke the curse using the Mask Medallion restoring the sacred well.

Behind the scenes[]

The name "Cauldron Room" originates out of the official strategy guide. It is also referred to as 'cauldron room' in the files see KQ8 Enemy List/Temple2Monsters.

Note: Some may refer to this as the "Sacred Well Room". However, this might not be an 'official' name. This room is known as the Cauldron Room in the official guide, and the term "Sacred Well Room" is never used. It wouldn't make much sense to still call it the Cauldron Room. Still there is no other 'official' name known other than Cauldron Room.

The term Sacred Well is technically not an official name, it is based on the description Connor gives for the Cauldron in the Cauldron Room after he restores it. In which he describes it as a 'sacred well' (lower case). It is only ever described as the 'Cauldron', 'Lucreto's cauldron, 'bubbling basin', 'sacred healing well', and 'Bad Guy Soup' in the official strategy guide.

Mark Seibert referred to it as the "Cauldron/Healing Well" on his website.
