Buzzards circle high above the Medusa Desert, waiting for people to die. Many bones of the victims of the harsh desert scatter the desert picked clean by the buzzards living there.

Little animated buzzards can be seen in the desert maze portion of the desert. The birds in KQ5 desert are called 'buzzards' in the script files ('script.015').
