Another world is a term sometimes used in King's Quest documentation and blurbs. It is comparable to alternate universe or dimensions (or planes of existence) each making up the multiverse.

The lands specifically said to be 'another world' (from perspective of Daventry) at one time or another include Enchanted Isles, Tamir[1], Eldritch (and Etheria), Dreamland, the Void (where The Fates reside), and the Other World (Earth).
Daventry, Dimension of Death, The Swamp, Underground Realm of the Gnomes, Barren Region, and Frozen Reaches ('Ice World') are each 'another world' accessible via teleporter pads.[2]
From the perspective of This World (Earth), Daventry is considered “another world”.
