Adam Szofran was a man buried in the Daventry town cemetery.

His gravestone reads;

This was easter egg inserted into the game's textures. Szofran was one of the Mask of Eternity's programmers. He was responsible for sound, UI, and some physics development for King's Quest 8, the first fully 3D title in the long-running game franchise. [1] He stopped working on Mask of Eternity in 1997, but continued to work for Sierra until February 1998, before moving over to Dynamix where he worked until October 1999.
